Over the last couple of months, I have been wanting a Blendtec blender. I will be purchasing one later this week so I thought I would share some of the more interesting recipes that I cannot wait to try.
Recipes You Can Make In Your Blender
1. Homemade Nutella
Making your own homemade Nutella means that you can get rid of some of the yucky stuff that’s in the store-bought product.
If you do have a Blendtec, I recommend getting the twister jar because the consistency is a little bit thick. That being said, you can make it in the traditional jar as well, just make sure you scrape it down often.
The recipe can be found at Just Putzing Around the Kitchen.
2. Grinding Grains
Turning things such as wheat berries and whole almonds into flour is easy to do with the higher powered blenders.
I enjoy making homemade almond flower because in the process you can also make almond milk.
Even better with the newer blenders is that you can push a button and walk away, letting it finish on its own.
This particular recipe covers all of the grains that you see above. When you go to the site, you will see a sheet to tell you exactly what you need to do.
3. Almond Milk
Here’s the recipe for the almond milk that I was talking about.
I recommend whenever making almond milk, is to let it sit over the stove for a little while to thicken up, at least if you like the taste similar to the way you buy it at a store.
This almond milk recipe can be found at Detoxinsta.
4. Tomato Soup
The cool thing about the high-end blenders is that it can make your soups warm without needing a stovetop. This is thanks to the motor which is very powerful.
I like this particular recipe because you get to torchthe tomato before you peel it and put it in the blender.
You can find the recipe over at how does she.
5. Homemade Orange Julius
If you’re a big fan of the Orange Julius, then this one will hit the spot for you.
The author uses a Vitamix in her recipe which is just as good as a Blendtec- it’s just a matter of which one you prefer.
To see the full recipe head over to Or so she says.
6. Chunky Salsa
Typically when people think of a blender, they think of smoothies. One of the great features on this one is that you can have chunky recipes as well as smooth recipes all with a push of a button.

This easy blender chocolate mousse is exactly what it says it is. Whipped to perfection, it almost melts in your mouth.
Last year my school had a Blendtec, and this was one of the things that we made. We also made some whipped cream to go on top and coffee beans in our food science class. It was a lot of fun.
The recipe can be found at A Family Feast.
10. All the Smoothies
I like the title of this post on the blog it says “How I keep sane: Blendtec recipes that keep me going.” I adore making green smoothies because it grosses my kids out and it tastes good. If you feel the same way, then be sure to check out the recipes here.
11. Powdered Sugar
When the Blendtec came in at the school that I worked at I was flipping through the recipe book while we were watching an episode of Good Eats. I stopped the episode so that we could make powdered sugar.
It is as simple as putting in a cup of sugar and letting the machine do its thing. Super cool to watch!

12. Nice Cream
I have said it before, and I will say it again: Nice cream is one of the best recipes I have ever decided to try. My daughter swears by it, and we make it at least once a year for breakfast so she can go to school and tell everyone that she had nice cream.
This recipe uses bananas, peanut butter, and chocolate to make the yummy treat in the blender.
That’s right no liquids! To see the recipe for yourself head over to The Big Man’s World.
13. Best Blender Brownies
Still stuck on chocolate, I had to put brownies in here as well. This blender brownies are perfect for a day whenever you want something delicious but don’t feel like putting all the work in the stirring and mixing the batter.

14. Hollandaise Sauce
Hollandaise sauce is delicious and perfect for breakfast or even to go on top of the asparagus in the afternoon.
If you’re looking to make a savory treat, head over to Cook The Storyto see the recipe for yourself.
15. Pizza Sauce
Here’s another sauce recipe that you can just put the ingredients into the blender and let it go. Add spices that you like to make it yours. After all, the sauce for the pizza is one of the key factors as to whether not taste good.
Head over to Blendtec to see the recipe.
16. Crepes
With crêpe batter, you want to make sure you get it absolutely smooth. Putting it in a blender is a sure fire way to make sure that you get it right.
Go check out Self-Proclaimed Foodie and get the recipe to make the crêpes in the blender.
17. Cheesy Avocado Bacon Poutine
So this is essentially a french fry recipe. It’s one that I’ve never heard of. It sounds interesting, and I love avocado so why not?
I mean, when you get a new toy you got to play with it right? Head over to What’s Gabby Cooking to see the recipe, complete with the fresh farm ingredient twist, for yourself.
18. Copy Cat Trader Joe’s Cookie Butter
I may or may not have bought my first one of these the other day while I was in the store. However, knowing that I’m going to be able to make it myself very soon is exciting. I want to be able to make as much as I can from scratch.
Head over to The Cookie Rookie to see the recipe for yourself.
19. Hummus Dip
If you love chickpeas, you will love this dip. It is healthy and pairs well with vegetables.
Adding the oil and the Tahini at the end makes for a beautiful presentation.
To see the recipe, head over to the Blendtec blog.
20. Salad Dressing
One great thing about the high powered blenders is the ability to make dressings for salads. It purees it smoother than most other blenders will.
I am a big fan of tasty, fulfilling salads and this one fits the bill. Head over to Layers of Happiness for the recipe.
21. Hot Chocolate
Remember how I told you that the powerful engines could make soups warm? The same thing works for hot chocolates or coffee drinks.
This recipe has a hint of espresso powder, to give the hot chocolate more flavor. I prefer this over a box mix any day because it comes with ingredients I have heard of.
To see the recipe for yourself, head over to Nutmeg Nanny.
22. Corn Chowder
Corn Chowder is one of my favorite recipes because it is so soothing and it reminds me of my childhood. While my mother never made chowders, I would attend a festival in our hometown each year, riding my bike up to the park to get a bowl of the good stuff.
Naturally, to keep the chunkiness of the corn, you don’t blend it all at once. Instead, you add the thicker ingredients into the smooth ones at the end.
The recipe can be found at Cooking Classy.
23. Sorbet
Healthy Happy Life came up with the sorbet recipes to tease us. As much as I love something rich, I equally enjoy something fresh. This is like a fresh version of ice cream. Even better is that it doesn’t take much to make it.
24. Strawberry Margarita
Ali over at Gimme Some Oven decided to create this recipe for her birthday. I chose to add it to the list because it shows you that you can have a somewhat regular drink on the menu and it still comes from the blender.
25. Chocolate Chip Frappe
You already know my deep love for anything coffee related. Naturally then, my blender will be used in our coffee shop at school to make Frappes such as thisChocolate Chip Frappe.
26. Sweet Potato Souffle
Sommer at A Spicy Perspective comes up with this recipe in her Blendtec and, just like with crepes, you want your souffle to be as smooth as possible. Another critical component of souffle is to make sure they are airy, and a blender will definitely do that!
27. Bread
I love this picture because it shows you the machine hands on. I’m a bit starry-eyed over the whole thing. It makes me want to pull my wallet out now!
Back in the day, I purchased a bread machine from a yard sale. I decided within the first couple of batches that it wasn’t something I would spend money on when the machine broke down. I felt like my Kitchen Aid can do just as good of a job.
The Snarky Vegan must feel similarly because she did all of the work for her bread right there in the machine, leaving the last two steps (let it rise in the pan and baking) to do “hands-on.”
28. Fruit and Vegetable Gummies
If you struggle with your kids eating healthy food, here’s a sneaky way to get them down. My daughter says that my fruit roll-ups and gummies are not like the store bought stuff and yet she still eats them- even when I sneak vegetables in!
I, personally, would opt for honey or sugar instead of agave syrup. For this post, you can choose if you want to watch The Stay-at-Home Chef’s YouTube video or her blog post.
29. Baby Food
There are so many great baby food products out there. My only concern with it is that babies only stay babies for a short time and then you’ve spent a hundred dollars or more on a product that, unless you plan on having a couple of more little ones, you don’t have any more use for. While you can sell it and reap some of the money you spent, why not purchase something that you can use over and over?
These blenders are designed to give smoothness to the ingredients, making it perfect for baby food and beyond.
Conclusion to Recipes You Can Make in Your Blender
Now that you have seen how versatile this power horse will be in my kitchen, I hope you also see just exactly why it would be good to have one in your kitchen as well. If you have a powerful blender and make some great stuff, please share your recipes!
