Kim Taehyung is not only the owner of one of the most special and beautiful voices in the music industry, but he’s also a true fashion icon. Many times he’s mentioned one of his dreams when he was little was to have lots of clothes and be able to combinethem however he wanted, and look at him now: he’s doing it and succeeding at it. Since his debut — and even before that — we’ve been blessed with countless outfits V pulled off to perfection, and today we wanted to bring back 10 of the most iconic ones we’ll never be able to forget.
New York State of Fashion
While in New York at the beginning of this year, Tae showed up on the streets of the Big Apple pulling off what became a look for the ages. It was a perfect mix between urban and comfy with a touch of luxury, which,in a couple words, perfectly describes his style.
Normcore Vibes
Something great about Tae is his ability to turn a simple, normcore look into his own brand. Black pants, white shirt, denim jacket sounds basic, right? Enter Kim Taehyung. From the orange round glasses to the belt, the burgundy socks, and blue envelope bag, he knows how to accessorize up in order to dazzle.
Fire It Up
Once again, simplicity, but make it V-fashion. He’s always taken into consideration his hair color and how to play around with it when planning an outfit. That way, this black and beige outfit becomes fire in a matter of seconds.
Cheetah Statement
Can anyone else inthe world get away with wearing this outfit and look fab while at it? Don’t think so. Without a doubt one for the books, Tae went all in with this look. The fluffy cheetah coat, the beret, the sweater vest, the sunglasses, the fringed shoes… sounds like a lot at first, but it looks amazing on him.
Print on Print
Print on print on print, and a touch of Gucci. Tae’s love for prints is no secret, and he definitely knows how to put them together the right way. He’s not afraid of wearing them all at the same time, and we’re not complaining. Plaid on the bottom, flowers on top, snakes on the tie… true perfection.
Street Pajamas
If there’s anyone out there capable of wearing a pajama-like outfit at the airport and making it look like a runway outfit, it’s Taehyung. It’s a co-ord set he’s declared he’s in love with because it’s both comfy and stylish, plus a statement without much effort. We’re absolutely here for it.
Black on Black
Tae can go from I-wear-all-the-colors-in-the-color-wheel to embracing the black-over-black trend from one day to the next. This outfit is without a doubt a favorite, and it’s easy to see why. Layering, textures, fabrics, it’s all extremely fashionable in such an effortless way.
Tae = Gucci
Ok.. can we really talk Kim Taehyung without talking Gucci? Aren’t we all waiting for him to get a campaign with the brand? The Gucci king himself is not afraid to go all Gucci head-to-toe, and to be honest, he dazzles every single time he does. This is for sure one for the books: an iconic, simple-yet-elegant-yet-statement look that screams Tae’s name.
Co-ord for the win
King of co-ord sets, he really knows how to pull them off and add his own touch to them. This gray, oversized combo paired with a black beret — also one of his absolute favorite accessories in existence — is truly what comfy fashion dreams are made of.
Tae’s Singularity
Relaxed, elegant, urban, luxurious, all-in-one. That’s V’s style in a nutshell, and this outfit features all those elements. From the earth-tones cardigan to the sporty sneakers, basic oversized pants, the leather bag, and the scarf, this look is so full of his vibe, we’ll never be able to forget it.
